Stop & Heal — the app, in detail
Stop & Heal is a recovery companion for 11 addictions. Instead of counting days, it shows what those days are doing inside your body — a personal timeline that starts the moment you quit and advances in real time, with an evidence level on every claim.
This page is the plain description: what it does, what it costs, what it collects, and where the science comes from.

What is free and what is not
The app is free to use: one journey, the full hour-by-hour timeline for it, milestone notifications and Craving SOS — the panic screen stays free forever. An optional Lantern subscription (monthly, yearly or lifetime) opens every journey at once along with the rest of the app. There are no ads and nothing is sold to anyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is Stop & Heal free?
Yes. One full journey and the Craving SOS panic screen are free with no time limit. The optional Lantern subscription unlocks all 11 journeys at once; it is a choice, not a wall in front of the basics.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. What you track is written to your own device and is not sent anywhere.
Which addictions does it cover?
Eleven: nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, cannabis, compulsive phone use, gaming, gambling, pornography, sugar and fast food, compulsive shopping, and love or relationship dependency.
Where does the medical information come from?
Public health literature — WHO, CDC, the US Surgeon General, NHS — and peer-reviewed research. Every milestone carries one of three evidence levels (solid, reasonable, indicative) so you can see how firm the ground is, and each guide lists its own sources.
Which platforms and languages?
iOS, watchOS and Android, in 42 languages. Translation covers the interface and all medical content, with correct currencies, date formats and plural rules for each language.
Is this medical advice?
No. Stop & Heal is an information and tracking tool, not a substitute for professional treatment. Alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal in particular can be medically dangerous — the app says so and points to real help.

This guide is general educational information compiled from public health literature. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Withdrawal from alcohol and some substances can be dangerous — talk to a health professional before quitting.
